HAMDEN — Dianna Pategas of Sandy Hook has been promoted from executive director of development to associate vice president for development at Quinnipiac University.

In her new position, Ms Pategas will be responsible for the planning, development, and administration of Quinnipiac’s fundraising programs. The university is currently seeking $25 million in funding for the Hudson United Bank Center, an athletic venue, which will feature separate arenas for Quinnipiac’s NCAA Division I men’s and women’s ice hockey and basketball teams.

The next fundraising project will be a $15 million medical professions center.

Ms Pategas, who joined the staff at Quinnipiac in 2003, holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Whitworth College in Spokane, Wash. She also is a member of CASE, The Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
