Selectmen Fill Board Vacancies

The Board of Selectmen Monday approved several new appointments and

reappointments to the various town boards and commissions.

First Selectman Bob Cascella said the candidates for appointment were all sent

letters of inquiry from Town Hall, asking them if they wished to begin or

continue serving the town. The following people said "yes":

New Appointments

Economic Development Commission - Claudia Allen-R (3-year term to fulfill term

of Lyndon Thomas).

Conservation Commission - Sandra Michaud-R (4-year term).

Reappointments

Commission on Aging (3-year terms) - Albert Brinkman-R, Edna Marks-R,

Katherine E. Dougherty-U, Glenna Rees-U (alternate, 2-year term).

Building Appeals Board (5-year terms) - Wendy G. Beres-R, Michael Porco-D.

Library Board of Trustees (3-year term) - Christopher Spiro-D.

Public Building & Site Commission (4-year term) - Gus Palmieri-R, Anthony

D'Angelo-R (alternate).

Water Pollution Control Authority (4-year terms)- Eleanor Mayer-R, Alan

Shepard-R (Borough), Carl J. Zencey-D (Borough).

Civil Preparedness (2-year term) - Lewis Yacko.

HART Committee (2-year term) - William A. Honan, Jr-D.

Parks & Recreation Commission (2-year terms) - Raymond O. Craven-R, William

Cavanaugh-D.

Pension Committee - David Lydem-U (Police Union Representative).

Public Safety Committee - Sandra Michaud, Helen Joy Previdi, Wendy Beres, John

Roumanis, Kevin Cragin
