Mr and Mrs Robert Cascella

First Selectman Robert Cascella and Sue Gay of Sandy Hook were married

Saturday, July 15, by Appellate Court Judge William Lavery.

The ceremony took place in Mr Cascella's office in Edmond Town Hall.

The bride's son, Kurt Gay, 15, a sophomore at Newtown High School, was the

best man. The bride's daughter, Camille Gay, 16, a senior, was the maid of

honor.

The private ceremony was attended by Mr Cascella's mother, Catherine Cascella

of Trumbull, and by the bride's parents, Camile and Elmire Michaud, formerly

of Fairfield. The Michauds now live in Florida and Sandy Hook.

Bob Cascella has been Newtown's first selectman since 1993. Sue Cascella has

worked for the local schools for 11 years. For the past four years she has

been employed as the administrative assistant to the business director in the

Board of Education office.

The couple, who live in Sandy Hook, are planning a wedding trip to Cape Cod in

August.
