Garner Inmates Charged

State police report that two former inmates of Garner Correctional Institution

on Nunnawauk Road were arraigned July 12 in Danbury Superior Court, each on a

charge of possession of a weapon in a correctional institution.

Arraigned in court were Fernando Soto, 23, and Joaquin Santiago, 23, according

to state police.

Both men are now inmates of Northern Correctional Institution in Somers, state

police said.

Information on what types of weapons the men had while in Garner or when the

weapons were found wasn't available.
