Irene MeVay

Irene S. MeVay, twin sister of Zeneida P. Northcott of Newtown, died July 6

after a long illness with Alzheimer's disease. A resident of East Williston,

Westerly, R.I., she was the wife of the late Francis F. MeVay.

She was born September 20, 1919. She was an avid traveler, needlework artist,

and teacher.

She is also survived by a son James C.F. MeVay of Connecticut; a daughter,

Rene MeVay of California; another sister, Anne Politi of Queensbury, N.Y.; and

two grandchildren.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NYU

Medical Center, Aging and Dementia Research Dept., 550 First Avenue, New York,

NY 10016.
