A Job Well Done
A Job Well Done
To the Editor:
I was not surprised at all by the story about Animal Control Officer Carolee Mason and her absolutely heroic effort to find a missing and injured dog. [âExtra Effort By Animal Control Officer Finds Injured Dog,â The Newtown Bee, 8/10/12.] Walking knee-deep in swamp water? If any one deserves a commendation it is Ms Mason. That right there is the reason why people demanded she be returned to her job. Dedication to duty, determination, and compassion are clearly her calling card.
One thing is for certain, the members of Team Incompetence Joe Borst, Chief Kehoe, and Carol Ross owe that woman and the entire town a huge apology. Their behavior in that entire affair was disgraceful. As I said back then, any self-respecting company would have shown the three of them to the door. I suggest the three of them take a good hard look at what they attempted to deprive us of. Since he is her boss, Iâd like to know if the chief commended her on a job well done or did she get the usual shabby treatment there? Didnât notice any commentary from the PD in the article.
