Last year, John Oates celebrated his vibrant 25-year solo career with the release of his self-titled album, Oates. Ahead of that he had already released eight albums: Phunk Shui, 1000 Miles of Life, Mississippi Mile, Good Road to Follow, The Bluesville Sessions, Live from Nashville, Arkansas, and Reunion.

Oates has performed and collaborated with some of Nashville’s most legendary writers and musicians, and he currently is touring the world with The Good Road Band and his acoustic quartet. Edmond Town Hall last week announced Oates with The Good Road Band will be performing at 45 Main Street on Friday, October 23. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, and the show will begin at 7:30.

The show will be a fundraiser for Connecticut Cancer Foundation.

Tickets are $131 to $181, and on sale through edmondtownhall.org.

Beer, wine, and concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Oates and the band will perform songs drawn from his albums plus familiar classic R&B and rock hits he calls “the songs that made me.” For fans of the ’70s and ’80s, he will play some iconic pop selections from his legendary career as co-creator of Hall & Oates.

Connecticut Cancer Foundation (CCF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1987 by Connecticut resident and former N.Y. Yankees baseball player John Ellis to financially assist Connecticut cancer patients and their families with funding for basic living needs (rent, mortgage, food, heat, utilities, etc) while they are enduring treatment.

Over the past 39 years CCF has granted over $10 million to more than 12,000 Connecticut families dealing with the financial hardships that often follow a cancer diagnosis and has donated more than $3.3 million to support cancer research.

John Oates, who is touring the world with The Good Road Band and his acoustic quartet, will make his Edmond Town Hall debut in October.
