Found Items Await Owners At Police Station

Police are holding eight items in their found goods inventory at the police station in Town Hall South at 3 Main Street for return to their owners.

People who believe that the below-described items are their lost items should contact Sergeant Darlene Froehlich at the police station at 426-5841 to claim the items.

In descending order, starting with the most recently found items, police are holding for safekeeping:

*A woman’s Timex-brand Carriage watch found August 8 at Treadwell Park on Philo Curtis Road.

*A duffel bag holding a sleeping bag found August 4 near railroad tracks off Brennan Road.

*A white Apple-brand iPod digital music player found July 31 on Church Hill Road near its intersection with Glen Road.

*A set of keys with an engraved religious medal attached found May 18 at Dickinson Park on Elm Drive. The medal bears the partial inscription: “Korina 6-05-06.”

*An Apple-brand iPod found May 7 in front of Newtown High School on Berkshire Road. The iPod bears the label: “Mark’s iPod.”

*A gold finger ring holding a diamond found April 26 at the Newtown High School baseball field. The ring’s partial inscription is: “Love You Always….”

*A teardrop-shaped diamond found April 2 at the Citgo gas station at 151 South Main Street.

*A set of antique photographs contained in a Rolodex-style file found October 13, 2007, on Route 25 at the Newtown/Brookfield town line. Labels on the photographs indicate that some photos were taken at Edgewood Park in New Rochelle, N.Y. The photographs also bear the surname Alves.
