Eileen P. Mortensen

Eileen P. Mortensen, 87, died August 17, at The Jewish Home For The Elderly, in Fairfield. She was born April 26, 1925, in Sherbrook, Canada, to Margaret and Stanley Phillips.

She is survived by her children Scott, and his wife Lydia, of Newtown, and David, and his wife Gloria, of Stratford; her six grandchildren; and her three great-grandchildren. Mrs Mortensen was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Andrew.

Mrs Mortensen was a member of the First Congregational Church of Stratford. She was an avid reader of mystery books, enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff at The Jewish Home For The Elderly for being friends to Mrs Mortensen, and for making her comfortable while she was a resident.

There will no services or calling hours. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Congregational Church of Stratford, 2301 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615.
