Monica E. Allen
Monica E. Allen, 69, of New Fairfield, beloved wife of Michael Allen, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital, August 17, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Danbury, daughter of Leoma and Burton Leach.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brothers, Burton Leach of Newtown and Arthur Leach of Danbury; her sister Roberta Leach of Danbury; seven children, Edward Allen, Joseph Allen, Monica Allen, Mary Foster, Maureen Allen, Catherine Allen, and Teresa Swanson; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Naomi Tomaino.
She lived in New Fairfield for most of her life. She was a longtime member of St Edward the Confessor Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place August 23. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
