Assistant Superintendent, Business Director Contracts

Following an executive session on Monday, August 20, the four members of the Board of Education present for the meeting returned to a public session and voted to approve the assistant superintendent and business director’s contracts with some changes.

Both contracts were last renewed for a three-year term last year, and, following the annual practice, were renewed again this year for the period of July 1 of this year to June 30, 2015.

In a unanimous vote Dr Gejda received a two percent hike in her salary, increasing her pay from roughly $148,300 to $151,200, and retirement contributions, with no changes to other areas of her contract. Dr Gejda also received a contract increase last year.

The school board also voted unanimously to not give District Business Director Ronald Bienkowski a salary increase this year. With the vote, Mr Bienkowski did receive a retirement contribution of $22,500, and all other elements of his contract were left the same as last year, according to the motions from the meeting. With last year’s pay increase Mr Bienkowski received a salary of $144,646.
