Sharing The NHS Track

To the Editor:

We were surprised to see a new sign at the high school track banning anyone from using it anytime school is in session. We certainly understand not using it when the track team is running or there is a meet. However, it is our hope that most of the school day the students are actually inside the very expensive place of learning that we Newtown taxpayers are paying for.

We and all other Newtown taxpayers paid for this great new track and we intend to continue to use it while school is in session unless a law is passed against it.
