Allison and Bob Palermo of Newtown announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica, of Cary, N.C., to Zebulon Rouse, also of Cary, son of Theresa and Mike Rouse of Freetown, Ind.

The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Newtown High School, and a graduate of Purdue University. She is a commercial real estate appraiser for Leatherman Real Estate.

The future groom is a 2005 graduate of Brownstown Central High School. He, too, graduated from Purdue University. He is a mechanical engineer for Hydrotube Enterprises.

A wedding is being planned for June 2013, to take place in the Outer Banks (Nags Head), N.C.
