At Bird Club

SOUTHBURY — Raptor expert Paul Roberts will present a slide-illustrated lecture, “A Tune-up for Fall Hawkwatching,” at the September 14, 2000, meeting of the Western Connecticut Bird Club.

The meeting will be on Thursday, September 14, at 7:30 pm, at Rochambeau Middle School, on Peter Road in Southbury. The public is invited free of charge. For further information, call 860/868-7641.

Birdwatchers who go hawkwatching only a few times each fall are in need of a dynamic hawk watching tune-up. Paul Roberts will give a refresher on hawk identification in his presentation, which will also examine the nature of hawk migration and hawk watching in the northeast.
