Holiday Closings

All town offices will be closed on Monday, September 4, in observation of the Labor Day holiday.

Newtown Senior Center and the transfer station will be closed.

C.H. Booth Library will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

The offices of the Bee Publishing Company also will be closed

All Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) full-service offices will change their scheduled operating hours for Friday and Saturday for the Labor Day weekend. On Friday, September 1, hours will be 8 am to 12:30 pm. (The photo licensing center in Brass Mill Center Mall in Waterbury, however, will remain open on Friday until 2 pm.) DMV offices will be closed on Saturday. DMV offices are always closed on Mondays.
