Jacob (Jake) Henry Witzke, 90, husband of the late Joanne Karvosky Witzke, died August 24 at St Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, he was a lifelong Fairfield resident.

He is survived by a daughter, Maryanne Donnelly of Newtown; five grandchildren, Jacob, Jr, Lisa, Heather, Brian, and Alicia; and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Bill Witzke.

Throughout his lifetime, Mr Witzke was a student and practitioner of aviation technology and development.

Friends are invited to attend committal services on Friday, September 1, at 10 am, in Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield.

Arrangements are by the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road.
