Media Exposure Talk At Working Women’s Forum

The Working Women’s Forum is planning its first meeting of the 2006-2007 year, and its going to be a multimedia event featuring journalist, broadcaster, and media consultant John Voket. Mr Voket serves as associate editor of The Newtown Bee, public affairs coordinator, talk show host and producer for Cox Broadcasting, and as a freelance editor for a national magazine along with his private consulting duties.

He will be hosting a dialog with the intent of helping WWF members and guests get more and better media exposure through local, regional, and even national networks. Mr Voket will also talk about mounting simple PR campaigns on a tight budget, becoming a better corporate neighbor through cause marketing, and discussing how small and large businesses can establish mutually beneficial relationships with the media.

The meeting will be held Monday, September 11, at Sal & Pepe Restaurant, 97 South Main Street. Networking begins at 6 pm, with dinner and guest speaker at 6:30 pm. Reservations can be made to Kelly Urso at 203-364-1667 or rsvp@workingwomensforum.net.

The cost for dinner will be $25 for members, $35 for nonmembers.
