Kick-Off Meeting

Each September, Newtown Newcomers and Neighbors hosts an autumn Kick-Off Meeting in the Alexandria Room of Edmond Town Hall. The purpose of the event is to maximize awareness about the organization and the wide range of programs it offers to all Newtown residents, both new and not-so-new.

This year’s gathering will take place on Friday, September 15, from 7 to 9 pm.

The club is broadening the scope of its kick-off meeting this year, and is extending an invitation to all the local organizations and clubs to be a part of a “Newtown Open House” evening.

“Our vision is to create an event that will offer a comprehensive overview of the numerous clubs and associations available in our community for residents to join,” said Shari Sadowski, a member of Newtown Newcomers & Neighbors.

For a donation of $25, local clubs can have their own table to staff with personnel, handouts, promotional items, etc.

“This is an excellent opportunity to showcase many of the organizations that Newtown has to offer,” said Ms Sadowski.

Clubs interested in participating in the event should contact Special Programs Co-Chair Jayne Long at 426-0783 or Tricia Pinto at 426-7815 as soon as possible to reserve a table.
