Pack 470 Goes To Camp To Celebrate A Cub Scouting Anniversary

In August, nearly 50 Cub Scouts and adult chaperones from Head O’ Meadow’s Pack 470 celebrated the Cub Scout’s 75th anniversary and “Scouting Around the World,” by attending the Boy Scouts of America Connecticut Yankee Council’s resident program at Camp Sequassen. The boys spent four days at the Litchfield Hills camp with youth from all over western Connecticut participating in team building activities, learning outdoor skills, and having fun at the lake.

Boys in the Head O’ Meadow school boundaries, in grades first through fifth, who are interested in being part of Cub Scouting may come to an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 13, at 7 pm at Head O’ Meadow School. Scouts have lots of fun, experience new things, learn important skills and make new friends. Scouting also affords a great opportunity for parents to share quality time with their sons as they build self-esteem, confidence, and a long-term sense of community and belonging. For more information call Cubmaster Mitch Bolinsky at 364-0287.
