Stephanie Helen (Komornik) Tomasko, 100, of Trumbull, died September 1, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was born in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Dest Komornik.

Her two brothers, Joseph Komornik and his wife, Terry, of Newtown and Henry Komornik of Trumbull; her daughter Stephanie Rose Weaver and her husband, Daniels, of Stratford; her son David Joseph Tomasko of Plantsville; two grandchildren, Michelle Tomasko and her husband, James Wilson, and Tanya Iljazi and husband, Brian; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friend Donna Passafiume survive her. Her beloved husband Joseph Andrew Tomasko; her daughter-in-law Dee Tomasko; her brothers Michael and John Komornik; and sisters Mary Gernat, Christine Komornik, Anna Sebastian, Rose Komornik, and Frances Hermanson predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her good friend William Holly.

In her earlier years, Mrs Tomasko was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel, serving as an Eucharistic minister for many years. She was an avid knitter and crocheter, donating many items to charities and family members. Everyone enjoyed her old-world baking that she learned from her mother.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, September 3, at 9:30 am, at St Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday, September 2, from 5 to 7 pm at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
