Elaine H.        Esposito

Elaine H. Esposito, 66, of 13 Prospect Street, Danbury, died on August 23, after a courageous three-month battle with cancer.

She was born on February 6, 1938, in Bridgeport, a daughter of Dominic Esposito of Florida and the late Olga (Rappa) Esposito.

In addition to her father, Dominic Esposito and his wife Lena, Elaine is survived by her sons, Kenneth DeVellis and his wife Lisa of Sandy Hook, Christopher DeVellis and his wife Barbie of Roanoke, Va.; daughters, Michelle Levesque and her husband Scott of Waterford, and Stefanie Hunt and her husband William of Cotopaxi, Colo.; her beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Corey, Joey, Ashley, Anna, Michael, and Taylor. She also leaves her sister, Joan Deaky and her husband Bob of Fairfield, half-sister Darlene Baron, half-brother Frank Rappa; and her friend Dan. She also leaves behind, in the care of her son and family, her cat Tanger, who was such a great companion to her for many years.

Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her sister, Francine Martin.

After graduating from Central High School in Bridgeport, she married her high school sweetheart, Arthur DeVellis. She was employed by Bridgeport Brass before becoming a devout wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, music, sewing, crocheting, and, most of all, caring for her family.

A memorial service was held in the Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Interment followed in the Newtown Village Cemetery.

The Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, Monroe was in charge of arrangements.
