The Town of Newtown strongly recommends separating glass from other recycling and taking it to the transfer station.

As part of a Bronze Project that will raise community recycling awareness, members of Girl Scout Troop 50440 will conduct a Glass & Returnables Drive next weekend.

The public is invited to drop off glass and returnable bottles and cans on Saturday, September 10, between 10 am and 1 pm, at Newtown Middle School, 11 Queen Street; and Sandy Hook School, 12 Dickinson Drive. All donations should be rinsed.
