From A Bug’s-Eye View:

Watercolor Program By Laura Eden

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will host a watercolor demonstration by artist Laura Eden on Wednesday, September 10, at 7:30 pm, at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at the flagpole).

All are welcome, free of charge, and refreshments will be served.

Laura Eden received her BFA from the University of Connecticut at Storrs and has gone on to win many awards throughout New England. An elected artist of the Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society, her work is held in many corporate and private collections.

In describing her artistic vision, Ms Eden says: “My paintings are meant to trigger daydreams. They are a response to quiet moments spent in nature’s grasp. Recalling a familiar feeling of place they, at the same time, show the viewer a more intimate, exaggerated perspective. I call it a bug’s-eye view. Through my work I try to evoke a refreshing response to the commonplace.”

Call Donna Favreau, 798-0560, for additional information. Reservations are not necessary.
