Dear Parade Fans:

On behalf of the Newtown Labor Day Parade Committee I would like to thank everyone who participated and attended this year’s Labor Day Parade. Once again the wonderful people of Newtown proved just how much they love their parade.

Every year it is so rewarding for committee members to see the parade route lined with chairs the night before the parade, and then, all the happy, smiling faces the day of the parade. Thank you so much Newtown for all of your support.

Special thanks to parade committee members: Brian Amey, Robin Buchanan, Dan Cruson, Beth Caldwell, Diana Baxter, Arin Mane, Kelly Stendahl, and Steve Bigham. This is a special group of people who volunteer their time from January to September to ensure that this special tradition in Newtown continues each Labor Day.

A huge thank you to our emcees: Dr Joshua Baum, John Klopfenstein, Mike Giarratano, and Mary Ann Martha. What an outstanding job all of you did entertaining the parade fans.
