Benchmark Senior Living And National Development Acquire Senior Living Community Church Hill Village
Benchmark Senior Living, a leading senior living provider in the Northeast, and National Development, a prominent real estate investment, development and management firm, announced the acquisition of Church Hill Village in Newtown on Monday, August 25. Renamed Benchmark at Newtown, Benchmark will operate the 71-apartment assisted living and memory care community.
The acquisition was completed through a joint venture between National Development and an affiliate of Benchmark Senior Living with financing provided by Webster Bank. It follows the companies’ recent partnership on a new senior living community in Scotch Plains, N.J., and the acquisition of an assisted living and memory care facility in Smithtown, N.Y.
Located in Fairfield County, the Newtown community is located at 2 The Boulevard, near the intersection of I-84 and Route 6, conveniently near Main Street and just minutes from shopping and dining.
Tom Grape, founder, chairman and CEO of Benchmark, said, “Church Hill Village has built an excellent reputation over the past five years. Benchmark is excited to be serving more seniors and families in Fairfield and the surrounding area — providing the high-quality care and services Benchmark is known for.”
Benchmark operates nine communities in Fairfield County, including nearby Village at Brookfield Common in Brookfield, Benchmark at Ridgefield Crossings in Ridgefield, and the continuing care retirement community Meadow Ridge in Redding.
