Tours Sept 10-16 At Lockwood Lodge

Longer life expectancies tied with the “graying of America” is driving the growth of a long-term health care option called assisted living. To help create understanding and awareness for this new housing option, Lockwood Lodge, the assisted living residence at Ashlar of Newtown, in Newtown, CT, is celebrating National Assisted Living Week, September 10 through 16, and invites anyone who is interested in visiting the residence to call for a tour.

 An increasingly popular option for adults who should not live at home alone, yet are not in need of full-time nursing support, assisted living residences account for three quarters of the new senior housing being built, according to the American Seniors Housing Association.
