Geraldine Farrell

Geraldine Farrell, 68, wife of Edmond P. Farrell of 20 Main Street, Newtown, died September 13, in Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Farrell was born in Hyde Park, N.Y., January 30, 1932, daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Casey) Maurer. She was a graduate of St Mary’s Catholic High School in New Haven, class of 1950.

A resident of Newtown since 1945, Mrs Farrell was the chief executive officer of the American Wire Corporation. She was a member of St Rose of Lima Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs Farrell is survived by a son, William J. McCarthy of Newtown; a daughter, Karen Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a sister, Beverly Perkins of Palmdale, Calif.

Private funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Newtown Village Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St Rose of Lima Church at a later date.
