Student Attends Summer WOW Program

Drew Narcum, a junior at Newtown High School, attended the junior internship program in Washington, DC, now known as Week On Washington Program (WOW), this summer.

The Newtown Republican Committee voted unanimously on April 10 to send Drew on the trip, according to WOW Chairman Wendy Beres. He answered the essay question, “If you had the opportunity to speak with any government official while in Washington, who would it be and why?” Drew wrote about Orin Hatch.

Drew presented a report about the trip to the Republican Town Committee on Monday night.
