In 1944, he joined United States Rubber Company (later Uniroyal), where he worked as a chemical engineer for the next 38 years.

He married Irene Bochet in 1946 and raised two sons, George Jr and Keith. Sadly, Irene Limbach passed away in 1963. George was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed camping and visiting the National Parks throughout the United States. For the past 33 years he lived in Newtown with his beloved partner, Dorothy Barnes.

A funeral for the immediate family will be held on September 18, at 1:15 pm, at George Washington Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Regional Hospice at regionalhospicect.org or mailed to Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810.
