Family: My husband Elijah, and I have a son Elijah and another son, Carter.

Pets: We have a dog, Phoebe, an almost 4-year-old rescue, and a cat named Sable, who was a COVID baby, is almost 7, and who was also a rescue.

How did you meet your husband? In college. He was a senior track captain, I was a freshman on the team, and the rest is history.

Work: I am a pediatric dentist at Dental Associates.

Are you an active member of any clubs, organizations, and/or communities of faith? I belong to Brookfield Congregational Church, and I am a member of the choir there. I am also now part of Musicals at Richter, and I also play in Newtown Women’s Softball. Our team just won the championship for the first time since the inception of our team in 2018.

Do you have a favorite author? Right now because it’s summer time and I’ve been reading a lot of light beach reads, it’s Elin Hilderbrand. She’s wonderful. I read The Five-Star Weekend last year and watched the show that came out this year on Peacock, and it was wonderful. It was very well done.

What is the most recent book you’ve read? The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand.

Who or what has been the biggest influence on your life? Right now in my life I feel as though it was the people close to me, and the generation above me — my parents, my grandparents, my neighbors — but now as I’m getting older I find it’s the younger generation that influences me more — my patients, and my children. They teach you how to regroup and re-center.

Favorite TV show? I just finished The Five-Star Weekend. I’m also very much a Ted Lasso fan, and Shrinking. I love shows with heavy-hitting topics but delivered in a light-hearted way.

Favorite actors? I’m a big Denzel Washington fan. Also Jason Sudeikis, and Julie Andrews.

Favorite music genre? Right now, musical theater. I’ve also been listening to Bush, Evanescence, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. But really, I’m a fan of nearly everything.

Do you have any pet peeves? Living in problems rather than solutions.

Favorite color? Blue.

Favorite season? Summer.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We go to Long Beach Island every year on the Jersey Shore. Also, Disney World.

What is your favorite thing about Newtown? Everyone feels so connected. Everyone knows something about someone, and it’s usually in a positive way, and I get to see that intersecting at the dental office — people meeting each other, saying “Hey, do you know this person?” or “Have you seen this person? Did you hear what happened?” I feel like I have a very privileged vantage point, because not only do I get to see the intersection of all the Newtown people, but also how the different towns operate. I get to crowdsource great information, and share it with everyone else, from shoes to hangouts to events and hairdressers, and I just feel like that’s something that you don’t typically get. You usually get a very town-specific vantage point. I get to see all the intersections, and I get to check in twice a year.

Do you have a personal credo? Be a problem solver, not a problem maker.
