The 50-plus-year tradition of Danbury Music Centre's Nutcracker includes dancers from Newtown — more than 20 local dancers last year alone — Danbury, Bethel, Brookfield, and surrounding towns. Organizers have announce the tradition will continue in December.

The 2021 production will once again be directed and choreographed by Arthur Fredric and Lisa Denton, and accompanied live by the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, directed and conducted by Ariel Rudiakov.

Auditions have just been announced for the weekend of September 17-19 at Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main Street in Danbury.

Visit danburymusiccentre.org or call 203-748-1716 for full details and an appointment.
