How To Cope With Cancer

BRIDGEPORT —  “How To Cope With The Emotional Aspects of Cancer” is the topic of the next Cancer Lecture Series talk sponsored by St Vincent’s Cancer Support Group on Tuesday, September 26, from 6:30 to 8 pm in the Level C Seton Room of the medical center.

Representatives from Cancer Care, Inc., a cancer support organization, will discuss how individuals and families can learn how to deal with the anxiety and stress related to cancer.

The Cancer Support Group, open to all cancer patients and their families, meets every Tuesday from 6:30 to 9 pm at St Vincent’s, and on the last Tuesday of the month features cancer specialists speaking on a different topic of interest regarding cancer diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

The program is offered to cancer patients, and their families and friends, at no charge through the Swim Across the Sound drive to fund cancer prevention and educational programs.

No pre-registration is necessary for attendance.

For more information on the Cancer Support Group and Lecture Series, call Teresa Money-McLaughlin, R.N., at 203/576-6158.
