Newtown Forest Association (NFA) hosted its Sunset Wine Tasting party at Holcombe Hill Preserve on the evening of Saturday, September 10.

The much-anticipated annual event returned after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fundraiser was to support NFA, a nonprofit organization that manages more than 1,400 acres of protected land in Newtown. The group is also the oldest private land trust in Connecticut and has won awards for its stewardship.

While guests perused the silent auction items and socialized outdoors, Sundad performed live jazz for all to enjoy.

Wine was supplied by Bottle Stop Wine and Spirits, and the locally made beer was provided by NewSylum Brewing Company and Reverie Brewing Company.

Aquarian Caterers served food and hors d’oeuvres to accompany the variety of beverages available.

Additionally, vendors such as Holmes Fine Gardens, Planters Choice Nursery, Uncle Matt’s Bakery, Appleberry Farm, and Associated Carting provided their services for the party.
