Chris Hoagland (Castleton State men’s soccer) – Came off the bench as the Spartans defeated Johnson State (3-0) and lost to Middlebury (5-0) to move to 2-3-0 on the season … Hoagland had a goal, an assist and three points through five games.

Kim Allen (Castleton State women’s soccer) – Needed to make just five saves as the Lady Spartans nipped Johnson State, 2-1 … made seven saves, but gave up a goal as the Lady Spartans fell, 1-0, to Green Mountain to fall to 1-2-1 on the season … Allen has played all 380 minutes in the net for the Lady Spartans with a 1.66 goals-against average and .865 save percentage.

Tara Gaston (Gettysburg College women’s soccer) – Scored her first collegiate goal to lead Gettysburg to a 2-1 win over Ursinus College on September 16. She converted a corner kick by Steph Heath with 1:23 left in the first half and the tally proved to be the game winner. Gaston has been starting for the Lady Bullets since the third game of the season.

Marcus Tracy (Wake Forest men’s soccer) – Had a goal as the Demon Deacons dropped a 4-3 decision to ACC rival Duke on September 8 … Tracy’s goal, off an assist from Jamie Frank, evened the score at 1-1 … Tracy received two yellow cards in the game and was ineligible for Wake Forest’s 2-0 win over Elon … attendance for the game against Duke was 4,323, the largest in Wake’s Spry Stadium regular season history.

Casey Frobey (Fairfield University women’s soccer) – Played, but did not manage a shot in a 1-0 loss to Boston University on September 12 that dropped the Lady Stags to 0-3-2. Frobey has two goals and four points on the year.

Alex Konneker (Manhattan College women’s soccer) – Notched an assist as the Lady Jaspers (#11 in the northeast)improved to 5-0-0 with a 6-0 pounding of Virginia Military Institute on September 10. Konneker has two goals and four points through five games.

Josh Rouse (Michigan State football) – Did not play in a 38-23 win over the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Chelsea Morin (Ursinus College women’s soccer) – Came off the bench as Ursinus defeated Moravian, 2-1, in overtime and lost, 2-1, to Rutgers-Camden to move to 2-2-0 on the year.

Allison Frobey (Plymouth State women’s soccer) – Notched an assist as the Lady Panthers crushed Mitchell College, 8-0, to improve to 2-0-0 on the year.

Ryan Tracy (University of Pennsylvania men’s soccer) – Scored a goal on his only shot to lead the Quakers to a 2-1 win over Hartwick College on September 8 … added another goal as the Quakers blanked Marist, 4-0, on September 10 to improve to 2-0-1 on the year.

Mike Troy (Fairfield University men’s soccer) – Started in a 3-1 win over Adelphi on September 9, but did not manage a shot on goal as the Stags improved to 3-2-0.

Rachel Bolmer (Western Connecticut field hockey) – Started, but managed just a shot as dropped 1-0 decisions to Salem State on September 9 and Bridgewater State on September 16. Has a team-high three goals for the 1-3-0 Lady Colonials.

Nick Mentessana (University of Missouri at Rolla men’s soccer) – Started in a 2-0 loss to Gannon University on September 8 and started (with a shot on goal) in a 2-1 win over winless Ashland on September 10.

Brian Miles (Montclair State men’s soccer) – Notched an assist as Montclair defeated Wilkes University, 3-0, and managed a shot in a 1-0 win over College Misericordia as the Red Hawks improved to 5-0-0.

Matt Pachniuk (Wheaton College men’s soccer) – Through five games, the senior goaltender has allowed just four goals in more than 474 minutes of action, giving him a 0.76 goals-against average, one shutout, and a .846 save percentage with 22 stops as the Lyons go to 4-1-0.

Brendan Cavanaugh (Roger Williams University men’s soccer) – Has started all five games and has four shots for the 1-3-1 Hawks.

Tom Ryan (Worcester Polytechnic Institute football) – Caught a team-high four balls for 42 yards (with a long of 17) as WPI smashed Becker, 52-16, on September 16.

Derek Miles (Eastern Connecticut State University men’s soccer) – Got the start and played 37 minutes in a 2-0 loss to Ramapo College of New Jersey on September 9 and got the start, playing 34 minutes, in a 3-1 loss to Connecticut College as ECSU dropped to 0-3-1 on the year.
