DANBURY â Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y., has made several management changes recently in its Fairfield/Westchester region.
Nick Germak has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Connecticut/Westchester County. Nancy MacDonald, formerly the manager of the companyâs Greenwich offices, returns to the senior management team as Senior Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerageâs Region 1 (Southern Westchester and Southern Fairfield Counties).
Former Dobbs Ferry office manager Joe Valvano will fill Ms MacDonaldâs former position as manager of the Greenwich offices. Frank DâOstilio assumes a new role with the company as manager of the newly merged Newtown office, replacing Bob Tendler, who will return to an active role in listing and sales. Senior Vice President Brendan B. Grady, in addition to his current duties, will serve as Regional Vice President of the companyâs offices in New Haven County.

Nick Germak has been an integral part of the companyâs senior management team for over six years. He has overseen the firmâs Westchester and Fairfield region, was active in strategic planning for the entire firm, and helped close over 26 acquisition opportunities throughout all regions.
Nancy MacDonald is a former Regional Vice President who returned to manage the companyâs Greenwich offices in January 2005. Under Ms MacDonaldâs leadership, the Greenwich office currently holds the number one market share in town in dollar volume and number of closed transactions. She has been a real estate professional since 1984. Her honors include the Presidentâs Council for Managers award, reserved for the top 100 office managers nationwide, and the Presidentâs Club for Managers, recognizing the top 10 percent of Connecticut managers.
A former high school English teacher, Ms MacDonald has been active in the Greenwich Association of Realtors (GAR) as a member of the Education Committee, where she conducted the ethics portion of the orientation program for new members. Her community activities have included Project KidCare, a child safety program and, in the past, working as a Literacy Volunteer.
Joe Valvano has overseen the companyâs Dobbs Ferry location for the past seven years since the acquisition of his company, Ye Village Realty, in September 1999. As a result of his leadership, the office holds a strong number one market share position in the River Villages and is a Coldwell Banker Premier Office. Mr Valvano has upheld standards of excellence throughout his 20-plus year real estate career. He is a consistent member of the prestigious Presidentâs Council for Managers.
Frank DâOstilio has overseen Region 4 (New Haven County) as Regional Vice President since the acquisition of his firm, William Orange Realty, in 2005.
âThe Newtown management opportunity presents an excellent opportunity for me to direct my skills to a new challenge,â said DâOstilio. âThe Newtown offices will officially merge during the week of September 21.â
Mr DâOstilio joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 2005. In 1989, he acquired the former Orange Agency, originally established in 1959, and renamed it William Orange Realty. Under his direction, William Orange Realty evolved into one of the areaâs top-selling residential real estate firms. He served as a director of the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors for more than ten years and was its president in 2004.
Mr DâOstilio is a holder of both CRB (Certified Real Estate Broker) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations. He brings with him more than 20 years experience in real estate.
Senior Vice President Brendan B. Grady will take on an expanded role, covering Mr DâOstilioâs former responsibilities, serving as regional vice president of the companyâs offices in New Haven County in addition to his other duties in Operations.   Â
Mr Grady is a 21-year veteran of the real estate brokerage industry and is a third-generation Realtor. He has served as Regional Vice President, Operations, of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and DeWolfe (which was acquired by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage) since 1998. He also currently serves as a Director of the National Association of Realtors and the Connecticut Multiple Listing Service, Inc.
Additionally, Mr Grady is a past director of Consolidated Multiple Listing Service, Inc., Greater Hartford Association of Realtors, Inc., Realtors Multiple Listing and Information Service, Inc., and Housing Education Resource Board.
Bob Tendler is joining forces with his future son-in-law to become a Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales team.

A licensed Realtor since 1976, Mr Tendler has been a part of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage since his company, Bob Tendler Real Estate, was acquired in 2004. His office has consistently maintained the number one position in sales, listings sold, and sales volume for Newtown residential sales for over 20 years.
Mr Tendler is a two-time president of the Newtown Board of Realtors, having also been a director of the board for over 15 years. The Newtown Board of Realtors honored him twice as Realtor of the Year.
He is extremely active in community affairs, having sponsored youth athletic teams as well as donating time and funds to local organizations. A prominent fundraiser for both individuals and organizations in need, Mr Tendler has established a benchmark for community involvement: he has raised over $500,000 for numerous organizations including Newtown Youth Services, St Rose School, Adath Israel, The Family Counseling Center, and Montessori School, among others.
