To the Editor:

I would like to submit to you the endorsement of a candidate in good standing, namely, Tiffany Hawley, a longtime Newtown resident, for a place on the Newtown Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals.

Tiffany’s character and skills would be an asset to the board in making important decisions to protect and advance a positive future for our great and beloved town. Always committed to ensuring that the task at hand is brought to fruition, Tiffany has a strong work ethic, and she accomplishes her goals in an honest, always positive, and pleasant manner.

My husband and I have volunteered at the Thomas Merton Center in Bridgeport with Tiffany. We have witnessed first hand her unwavering joy in preparing and serving breakfast to the homeless. She interacts with those in need in a caring, loving, and gentle way, which puts smiles on the faces of the recipients, who are so grateful to have a hot meal.

It is our belief that Tiffany Hawley would serve the residents of Newtown very well as part of the Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals.
