To The Editor:

On April 1, 2022, the price of gas in Connecticut averaged $4.33 per gallon. Joe Lieden was President and Ned Lamont found it necessary to remove the CT tax on gas, $.25 per gallon to lower the price.

This remained in effect until early January 2023 when it slowly increased back to $.25 per gallon. Even with the removal of the gas tax, prices continued to climb to $4.984 per gallon and Diesel $6.44 per gallon. Today's price for gas averages $4.51 per gallon. Why has Lamont not removed the sales tax on gas?? Is it because there is a Conservative Republican as President and not a Liberal Democrat?

By the way, I paid $4.10 per gallon at BJ's this morning.
