To The Editor:

Local elections may not receive the attention of national contests, but their impact on our daily lives is often far greater. The people we elect locally make decisions about our schools, roads, public safety, taxes, housing, and the services our neighbors rely upon.

Voting is especially important for residents who feel frustrated, overlooked, or aggrieved by the direction of their community. The ballot provides everyone with an equal voice and a meaningful way to take a stand. It gives us the opportunity not only to express our concerns, but also to support candidates who will listen, ask difficult questions, and work toward practical solutions.

Our community is strongest when more people participate. Democracy does not belong solely to elected officials, political parties, or those who speak the loudest. It belongs to every resident willing to become informed and cast a ballot.

This election, I am supporting Michelle Embree Ku for State Representative and Rob Blanchard for State Senate. I believe they will listen carefully, represent our community thoughtfully, and approach public service with the seriousness it deserves.

Whatever your views, please make a plan to vote. Your voice matters — especially in a local election, where just a handful of votes can determine who will make decisions affecting all of us.
