To the Editor:

On behalf of the NHS Volleyball families, I would like to thank both Berkshire Motors and Cover Two Sports Café for their recent support of the NHS Volleyball team.

Saturday, September 19th, Berkshire Motors generously allowed the team to hold their annual carwash fundraiser on their premises, directly across the street from Newtown High School.  Anyone who has lived in Newtown, for any time at all, will know that this certainly wasn’t the first time that Berkshire Motors has hosted a community-based carwash!  Just stop and think how many times you’ve driven by on a weekend morning and seen young people washing cars! Indeed, Berkshire Motors’ generosity extends over many, many years.

Just a few nights earlier, another generous Sandy Hook business welcomed our team and its supporters for a fundraising night. Cover Two Sports Café hasn’t been around for as long as Berkshire Motors has, but they have wasted no time in becoming one of the biggest supporters of Nighthawk sports teams in the community. The wait staff at Cover Two took wonderful care of us! They kept smiles on their faces as they hustled about, throughout a very busy night, serving delicious food to a lot of hungry athletes and their families. Cover Two is a wonderful addition to the Newtown community!

So to both Berkshire Motors and Cover Two Sports Cafe, we thank you for your continued support and we applaud and appreciate your wonderful sense of community.
