Kitchen Tour A Success

To the Editor:

The Annual Kitchen Tour sponsored by the Newtown Residential Preservation Society was again an enjoyable occasion, and we especially thank the families who opened their unique kitchens for this third annual tour.

We value the sponsors — Kitchen and Bath Creations, Klaff’s Inc, and Northeast Cabinet Design, Inc — who along with advertising in our booklet participated the day of the tour by being represented in the various kitchens to offer their expertise and answer any questions for the visitors and to Addessi of Ridgefield and the many other merchants who promoted our tour with ads in the booklet and by showcasing their wares.

Our thanks to Nancy Bamberg Fine Catering for the hors d’ oeuvres and once again to Andrea’s Bake Shop and Dunkin’ Donuts for the delicious edibles.

We sincerely appreciated the superb tour articles by Shannon Hicks of The Newtown Bee and correspondent Andrea Valluzzo of The News Times as well as the coverage in “Newtown Notes” by correspondent Sybil Blau which stimulated many visitors to participate in an enjoyable day.

We are grateful again to Minuteman Press of Fairfield for assistance printing the ticket booklets.

Lastly, but certainly not least, to the many members of the Newtown Residential Preservation Society who worked diligently to organize the tour and to staff it along with the volunteers from The Newtown Historical Society, thank you all for your dedication to our Community.
