To the Editor:

I haven’t lived here long but I deeply believe in volunteerism, which is why I stepped up to the plate when I was asked to run for Legislative Council District 2.

While some politicians pander to the loudest voice in the room or stay silent on divisive issues, that is not me. I am not a politician. I am your neighbor, a mother, a wife, and a registered nurse of 20 years.

My family moved to Newtown because of its excellent schools, pastoral landscape, and small town feel. What we have grown to love are the amazing people who truly embody the spirit of Newtown. This is a special place and we recognized that right away.

While I have strong opinions on matters of public health and education, and I will fiercely advocate for marginalized persons, I want to hear from you. I want to know what matters to you. This is what civic responsibility means to me.

If elected, I know that I will help make decisions that impact all residents. I will be sure that all views will be represented, and I will take great strides to weigh public input along with my own diligent research to make an educated decision with the very best of intentions. My goal is yours, for our home, Newtown, to continue to be the amazing home for everyone, today, tomorrow, together.

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at ElectRobinLynch@gmail.com

See you at the polls November 2!

Respectfully submitted,

Robin Lynch MSN, RN, CHSE
