Newtown-Sandy Hook Restaurant Week Begins October 3

Mark your calendar and save your appetites for Newtown-Sandy Hook Restaurant Week October 3 through October 9.

“People, both local and visitors, look forward to dining at our popular restaurants during Restaurant Week every year. We are honored to support our creative chefs, restaurateurs and employees during this week of culinary delight!” noted Christal Preszler, Deputy Director of Economic and Community Development for the Town of Newtown.

Restaurants are encouraged to offer special dishes or pricing to draw people to their establishment. Restaurants who contact Kimberly.Chiappetta@Newtown-CT.gov will benefit from their special being listed at newtownsandyhookeats.com/specials.

During the week, tag Economic Development in social media about culinary adventures using the hashtag #NewtownSandyHookRW2022.

“We’re very excited,” said Preszler. “A lot of restaurants are participating, and its a big draw to town.”

Participating restaurants include but are not limited to: The Villa, Barnwood Grill, Blue Colony Diner, Burgerittoville, Franco’s Pizza & Pasta, Fusion 25, Lion’s Bleecker Street Pizza, Market Place, Papa Al’s, Pizza Palace, Red Rooster Pub, Sal e Pepe, and Tamarind. Some available specials may be found in Restaurant Week advertising in this week’s paper.

“These family restaurants will be offering specials as unique as their food,” said Preszler.

Newtown-Sandy Hook Restaurant Week offered thanks to its sponsors, including ­Delicious Dining Level Sponsors, Newtown Arts Festival, Newtown Savings Bank, SHOP, and Edmond Town Hall; Cocktails & Apps Level Sponsors, Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce and Connie & Company; and Decadent Dessert Level Sponsor, Associated Refuse Haulers.
