BRIDGEPORT — SCORE Greater Bridgeport is presenting a free seminar, “Beating the Odds When Starting a Small Business,” on Wednesday evening, October 31, from 7 to 9 pm, at the University of Bridgeport in the Arnold Bernhard Center, Tower Room (9th floor).

This seminar, the first of eight in the Small Business Workshop Series to be held by SCORE Greater Bridgeport, is designed to provide small business owners with information on starting and running an enterprise and avoiding the mistakes that so often lead to failure. The workshop will discuss how to beat the odds against start-up failure, what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, and offer some solutions for the unique problems that face a small business owner.

SCORE, “Counselors to America’s Small Business,” offers no-fee business counseling, mentoring, resource materials, and workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.
