Rosentel Elected USB Trustee

Richard Sturdevant, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Union Savings Bank, announced the election of Stephen G. Rosentel of Newtown to the bank’s Board of Trustees.

“Steve brings a strong business and community background to the board. He will be an asset in helping to shape the future direction of the bank,” Mr Sturdevant said.

Mr Rosentel, who lives in Sandy Hook, has been a corporator of the bank since 1997. He received a BBA in Accounting and Taxation from Pace University and is the chief executive officer of Leahy’s Fuels, Inc.

Mr Rosentel is also president of the Newtown High School Band Parents, past chairman of the United Way of Northern Fairfield County Board of Directors, and is active in many professional and community organizations. He was the 1998 recipient of the United Way of Northern Fairfield County’s Forrest C. Palmer Community Service Award.

Union Savings Bank, headquartered in Danbury, is a $900 million mutual bank serving western Connecticut with 15 offices in Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, Newtown, New Milford, Ridgefield, and Sharon.
