What safety measures would you like to see the United States government implement at airports in the wake of the September 11 tragedy?

Jack Corcoran: “High tech identification systems – eye scans and facial scans.”

Julie Stern: “Since they’re not going to reinstate the draft, they should have a national service where college students serve one year working in airport security.”

Pete Stern: “I think the basic answer is a lot more common sense. A dead bolt in the cabin and just a viewer the pilot can look out from the flight cabin. It might be the simplest in getting some more feelings of safety.”

Bonnie Didomizio: “I think they should not allow pilots from other airlines to ride in the jump seat. Only the pilot and the copilot cleared for that flight should be in the cabin.”

Eleanor Zolov: “My concerns are the security of planes coming from foreign countries. They need screening and security for incoming international flights.”

Julie Starkweather: “I think everybody should have, as most countries do, an identification card with a fingerprint or retinal scan that cannot be duplicated.”
