To the Editor:

I strongly believe that good people make good government. Michelle McCabe is good people and she is dedicated to investing in the good people of Connecticut to rebuild our economy. The years that she has dedicated to harnessing resources and organizing people have prepared her well to serve as our Senator in Hartford.

She has been dedicated to issues of community food equity and healthy food options for schools, as well as health care and fair business opportunities. She has the experience of serving on statewide organizations, including the Governor’s Agriculture Council, and her current position with the Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport has provided her the opportunity to develop and grow a program now known as the Center for Food Equity and Economic Development (FEED). It provides both food-insecurity relief as well as revenue-generating opportunities within the community it serves.

Michelle carries a belief that by supporting and empowering people — by way of the education they need, the businesses they run, and the innovations they create — that we all benefit. Her years of volunteerism and work are the embodiment of her dedication to this belief. By backing the hardworking people of Connecticut, our state can grow its wealth. I urge you to support Michelle for State Senate to ensure that we invest in the people of Connecticut to help rebuild our economy.
