To the Editor:

Why vote Republican? The reasons are clear.

*Republicans hear you when you say you are already overburdened and it is why we are against tax increases. Democrats support taxes as fundamental to maintaining their status quo.

*Democrats support tolls. Republicans are against this regressive tax on working families.

*Republicans love our town and are for local control and protecting our community character. Democrats are pushing policies to strip that away.

*Republicans know that you as a parent know what is best for your child and are against forced school regionalization. Democrats either support it or evade the question.

*Connecticut is worth saving and Republicans have a plan to reform our state. Democrats will raise taxes, kicking the debt can down the road while treading water.

*Republicans support our police because they put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe. Democrats vilify and disrespect our law enforcement officer community.

*Republicans understand and support job creators and the Connecticut economy. Democrats push them out of our beautiful state by making it uncompetitive and unwelcoming.

*Republicans believe your voice is important and are for transparency and inclusion. Democrats conduct business behind closed doors, late at night, without input from the voters.

*Republicans care about you, your family, our community, and our state.
