Potters’ Path Returning October 3-4
Seven studios will host 14 artists participating in this year’s Potters’ Path, a tour of functional and sculptural ceramics studios in southern Connecticut.
The third annual presentation is planned for Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4, 10 am to 5 pm, and will again include a local artist.
Barbara J. Allen Studio, 43 Osborne Hill Road in Sandy Hook, will be open. Allen organized the inaugural Potters’ Path three years ago. Barbara Sciosa-Reed will be the guest artist joining Allen at her studio this year.
Readers are invited to take some time to explore the clay studios of seven Connecticut ceramic artists. The Potters’ Path, winding from North Haven to Bethel, will lead to the discovery of an array of diverse functional and sculptural ceramics.
The tour features highly accomplished professionals, each with their own unique approach to their craft, workspace, and process. Visitors are encouraged to linger, interact with the work, ask questions, and engage in conversation with the potters.
Artwork will be available for purchase.
