The Taunton Press Celebrates

25 Years Of ‘Fine Woodworking’

NORWALK — The Taunton Press of Newtown, in conjunction with The Woodworker’s Club of Norwalk, announces a daylong celebration of 25 years of Fine Woodworking magazine on Saturday, November 11, from 10 am to 6 pm.

On hand at The Woodworker’s Club, 215 Westport Avenue, will be book authors, magazine contributors, editors, and staff of the Taunton Press. The day will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and book signings in a collaborative effort between Taunton and The Woodworker’s Club, which has been a staunch supporter of Taunton books, videos, and magazines for many years.

Celebrated woodworkers and authors who will be participating include Niall Barrett (Classic Kitchen Projects, Bookcase and longtime contributor to Fine Woodworking magazine), Mario Rodriguez (Traditional Woodwork), Jim Makowicki (Marvelous Transforming Toys, Making Heirloom Toys), and Mark Duginske (Mastering Woodworking Machines).

Also participating will be past and present contributors and editors of Fine Woodworking magazine and the Taunton Press including Tim Schreiner, editor of Fine Woodworking, Helen Albert, editor of Taunton’s woodworking books, Aime Fraser, Ian Kirby, Ian Ingersoll, Toshio Odate, and John White.
