Cholesterol — The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

BRIDGEPORT — St Vincent’s Medical Center is sponsoring a free talk open to the general public titled “Cholesterol — The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” as a part of its 2009 Fall Listen & Learn Lecture Series. The talk will take place Tuesday, October 6, from 6 to 7 pm, at the Oronoque Country Club, 385 Oronoque Lane, Stratford.

Featured speaker Venu Channamsetty, MD, will discuss what good cholesterol is, how it helps fight bad cholesterol and how to keep cholesterol at a safe level with either diet or medication.

Dr Channamsetty is board certified and specializes in cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. He practices medicine at PriMed Cardiology Physicians in Bridgeport. 

A question and answer session will follow the presentation, and light refreshments will be provided.
